Final Days

Its been a long while since I posted. Fuck it, I had other stuff going on. I really couldn't get into this blog much, like I could really never get into this school. Neither one had very much authenticity. I started this blog on the advise of others to tell my story, to talk about life at this wonderful place. Funny thing was there wasn't so much wonderful and day by day my story was shit to tell. Many times I logged on to write I would just get pissed off about this stupid situation and not be able produce any feel good stories. I still don't have feel good stories, all I have is "paranoid ramblings" Funny thing about those paranoid ramblings...the ramblings that I was talking about at the beginning of the school year have all come true and people are really suprised now.

Isn't there a song line about it only being paranoia if they aren't really after you?

BRAC is real...Base Reallignment and Closure. The DoD shifts personnel around on a regular basis. downsizing some bases, closing some bases and INCREASING THE POPULATIONS OF OTHERS.

When that last little part happens GREEDY MOTHERFUCKERS WITH DEEP POCKETS look for opportunities around bases that are expanding and don't give a fuck about what they bulldoze to make a buck..or a mil.

Politicians and business fuckers know about this shit long in advance...I dunno...LAND DEVELOPERS, CORPORATIONS..STATE, CITY, COUNTY AND VILLAGE "LEADERS" have been seeing this coming.

Now ask yourself:

WHO HAS BEEN PAYING ATTENTION AND WILL BE MAKING A TON OF MONEY FROM THE ECONOMIC "DEVELOPMENT" OF YELLOW SPRINGS?

LOOK AT YOUR SILLY LITTLE HISTORY AND PINPOINT WHEN YOUR TRUSTED LEADERS MIGHT HAVE HAD ADVANCED KNOWLEDGE OF THESE EVENTS. ANY SIMILARITIES?

WHO HAS BEEN SUCKING MONEY OUT OF YELLOW SPRINGS AND FOR HOW LONG AND HOW HAS THAT IMPACTED THE INFRASTRUCTURE AND QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE VILLAGE? ANY FUCKING SIMILARITIES???????

POP YOUR FUCKING BUBBLE AND WAKE THE FUCK UP


There once was a little town in Kansas outside an army base..BRAC came along and downsized the base. That town became a ghosttown and rotted out from under the residents. They lived in shit or left. BRAC came around again several years later and the DoD increased the bases population. The town experienced a wonderful period of economic development. Sounds great yeah? funny thing about the residents of that little town, they never really got to see the real benefits of this growth. Out of state investors swept in bought up any PROPERTY/REAL ESTATE/LAND/VACANT SPACE/UNOCCUPIED BUILDINGS (please tell me you get the fucking picture) that was worth anything or could be developed (or bulldozed) and developed the hell out of the little town. New Walmart, Strip Malls, Enormous Apartment complex, Hotels and all the fast food chains you could ever stomach. So where did that leave the residents of the town? Well unemployment went way down...After all Walmart is alway hiring.

The Village of Yellow Springs is well on its way to becoming just another military town. Its already been sold out from under you and any decay that has occured over the past several years has been intentional and malicious.

Then again I must just be paranoid right?
